At our core, we are more than just a family-owned business serving the natural health community for over 40 years; we are also friends on a mission to empower everyone to feel confident making informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Our Story

Four decades ago, a visionary family journey began as Louise and Ron Hamilton founded Great American Natural Products. Moved by her personal experience with the limitations of traditional western medicine, Louise embarked on a mission to improve her health through a holistic approach. Ron, a licensed Arborist, joined her mission when he became intrigued by the potential of super food benefits for people after he saved a local dying Kapok tree: by treating it with nutraceuticals. He followed his newfound love of formulating natural health products after he got the necessary education. 

Louise and Ron’s mission quickly expanded to helping others improve their health, so they both took courses in botanical research, nutrition, herbology, and aromatherapy. Their passion for holistic health inspired others to start on their own paths to natural wellness. Louise quickly outgrew her living room office and opened “Louise’s Nutrition Workshop”, which included the dedication of a skilled massage therapist and a compassionate holistic physician. Louise and Ron later enjoyed traveling across the United States with a Doctor, an Anthropologist, and a Nutrition Author. The heart of the Hamilton family's love for educating others shines through their work with Hospice and other organizations dedicated to the well-being of people living in their communities. Ron and Louise’s legacy continues because they inspired their children, Amy & Ronnie, to follow in their footsteps for the last 15 years.
